A disaster proclamation issued by Governor Pritzker will help provide increased access to state resources and emergency personnel as widespread areas in the state clean up from the derecho and other storms that moved through Illinois starting on June 29th. The proclamation covers eight counties including Sangamon and Morgan counties.  The proclamation also facilitates a request for Federal disaster assistance if needed.  Repairs from the storm cost CWLP an estimated 20 million dollars and Mayor Buscher says reimbursement is key or the city will need to take a hard a fast look at the budget because the city needs to pay those bills.
