Gov. JB Pritzker told a business audience Wednesday Illinois may not be the cheapest place to do business, but it’s the best.

“Of course,” Pritzker said to the Illinois Manufacturers’ Association and Illinois Retail Merchants Association joint conference in Springfield, “people are talking to Mississippi about low-wage workers that they can get if they put a low-wage manufacturing facility in that state, but what they talk to Illinois about is skilled labor and skilled workers.”

That’s when the governor said Illinois has the third-largest community college system in the nation.

Afterward, reporters asked about President Joe Biden’s re-election plans, seeing as how Biden is criticized for his age and sometimes undynamic presence.

“Remember,” said Pritzker, “he has rescued the economy. He kept the nation healthy by distributing vaccines all across this nation. He’s the person who has genuinely the most empathy I have seen in any president in my lifetime.”

Pritzker said all the Republicans will have to offer next year are someone who is under indictment and someone who seemingly attacks American families.
