It’s official, Jeanne Keenan has been named as the Director of Operations at the Sangamon County Animal Control and Adoption Center. Keenan has been serving as the interim director since May 2022.

Since then, the facility has made policy and procedure changes resulting in facility upgrades and increased resources for animal care, staffing, and training for staff and volunteers. Additionally, the number of adoptions has increased while euthanasia at the facility is down since May of last year.
