Solar panels adorn a field on part of the property at Abraham Lincoln Capital Airport, where Mark Hanna is executive director.
“About eleven months ago, we stood here breaking ground for the project,” Hanna said Monday. “Today we assemble to celebrate its completion.
“The solar array will provide a significant portion of the electrical demand for a number of facilities in what we call the north airport quadrant. This is just one of a long list of capital projects that we have completed or initiated in recent years.”
A “switch-throwing” and a “ribbon-cutting” this (Monday) afternoon commemorated the completion.
