Wednesday Sangamon County State’s Attorney Dan Wright issued an arrest warrant for 25-year-old Gabriel Calixto, for three counts of first-degree murder and aggravated domestic battery with a bond amount of $3,000,000.

The Springfield Police Department is actively searching for Calixto with assistance from the U.S. Marshals Service and additional agencies.

Calixto is wanted in connection with a homicide investigation that began Tuesday night when the body of a woman who had been stabbed to death was found at a residence on S. 8th St.

Sangamon Couty Corner Jim Allmon has identified the victim as 24-year-old Emma Shafer of Springfield.
