Springfield police say they took a stolen gun and a bunch of drugs off the street – arresting a mother and son. In custody are Cortessa Williams, 43, and Ethesianon Williams, 27. both of Springfield. Police say after a traffic stop in the north end Wednesday of last week, they confiscated two 9-millimetre handguns, cannabis, crack, meth, heroin, and what could be mushrooms.

Police say the stop occurred just after 6:30 p.m. that evening in the area of 19-th and Moffat.
