Ever think of running for politics? A new book says, maybe you should. It’s “Politics – The Starter Kit,” by Jim Nowlan, whose record includes being a state lawmaker, professor, and helping John Anderson explore a 1980 presidential bid.
He says we need you, and it’s not hard to get involved: “Political party organizations have declined so significantly and yet are part of the process today,” said Nowlan. “In many counties there are lots of opening for precinct committeemen and committeewomen. You help the county chair by volunteering in a campaign.”
Nowlan told a virtual audience through Southern Illinois University’s Paul Simon Public Policy Institute the game especially needs young people.
