Is there something you’d love to see in downtown Springfield? It’s time to put your ideas in front of the organizations mapping out a master plan for downtown Springfield and the medical district. Springfield Sangamon Growth Alliance’s Ryan McCrady, on the WTAX Morning Newswatch, says you can provide input at springfieldmasterplan.com to pitch your ideas.  You can answer questionnaires about downtown and the medical district, and there is a tool on the site that allows you to draw on a map and submit something that you want to see in a specific area.

McCrady says the master plan project is being funded through a grant from the state along with support from the city, the Community Foundation for the Land of Lincoln, Downtown Springfield Inc. and the Horace Mann Foundation.

The plan encompasses both downtown and the medical district since, according to McCrady, they have shared needs in terms of housing and services along with blended boundaries.
