Crime Stoppers is putting out the word – beware of scams. Springfield Police and the Sangamon County Sheriff’s office have taken multiple reports on a variety of scams that have collectively cost victims over $900,000 since the beginning of 2023.

From Amazon scams, to romance scams, to scams related to an app called Anydesk, Crime Stoppers reminds you to never allow anyone to remotely access your computer unless they are legitimate technical support.
