It will be a playtime powerhouse. Six Flags and Cedar Fair are merging, and it will create an expansive amusement park operator with operations in 17 US states and three countries. The merged company, to be based in Charlotte, North Carolina and will operate 27 amusement parks, 15 water parks and nine resort properties in the US, Canada and Mexico. Finance and administrative operations will remain in Sandusky, Ohio where Cedar Fair is based.
