The City of Springfield’s Fiscal Year 2023 budget hearings will take place on
January 24, 27, 31, and February 3, 2022, at 5:30 p.m. in the City Council Chambers, 300 S. 7th Street, 3rd floor. The FY 23 proposed budget will include initiatives to improve Public Works services, reposition fires houses for better response, and additional police resources to improve public safety. The City’s fiscal year runs March 1 thru February 28.

The hearings are open to the public and facemasks are required for anyone in attendance for the duration of the meetings. Budget hearings will also broadcast live on Comcast Cable Channel 18 and stream live on the City’s website, http://www.springfield.il.us Click City Channels in the main navigation and Watch Channel 18. ´
The proposed department budgets will be available on the City’s website by Friday, January 21, 2022.
