SMTD has announced the new Go! SMTD app that you can use to ride city buses.  SMTD’s Steve Shoeffel says the new app will allow riders to plan their trips as well as buy and pay their fare. The app is available through the Apple and Google Play stores.

Shoeffel says it’s simple to use.  The reader on the fare box will read a QR code on the rider’s phone. He says you can pay through a credit card on your phone and once the new transportation center is open downtown, there will be ticket vending machines where you can add money to smart cards.  He says using the app is easier for passengers and for SMTD.  Buses will still take cash for riders who do not have the app.
