One person is dead following an accident at the Jacksonville Speedway, according to the Morgan County Coroner.
According to our news partners at WAND TV, the accident happened on Friday at the speedway.
According to the Morgan County Coroner, a 410-winged sprint car lost control, hit, and killed 65-year-old Ralph Willhite, of Jacksonville. He was in the infield.
He died at the scene.
An autopsy is scheduled for Monday.
The Jacksonville Speedway posted on it’s Facebook page about Willhite’s tragic death.
