Brian Lee Wilde, 63, of Springfield, IL passed away on Tuesday September 3, 2024. Brian was born in Springfield on December 20, 1960 the son of Thomas and Dolores (Eck) Wilde.

He was preceded in death by his parents, grandparents, Paul and Elizabeth Eck; brother, Bert Wilde and his beloved pug Toby.

Brian is survived by his children Nicole Wilde of Springfield, Adam Wilde of Chatham, and Amanda (Ryan) Martin of Chatham; grandchildren, Jaxon Wilde, Adalyn Wilde, Ellie Hamilton, Barrett Martin and soon to be expected, Leah Bert Wilde; Companion, Cindy Fernandes of Springfield, Former Wife, Wendy Wilde of Springfield; siblings, Bruce (Lysa) Wilde of Kincaid, Diane Blissett of Springfield, Donna (Kevin) Vite of Mahomet, and Brad (Christina) of San Marcos, California; cousin, Dan (Shirley) Lilly of Springfield; step daughter, Amanda Fernandes of Springfield; as well as many Nieces, Nephews, friends, and his cat Greg.

Brian was a caring man and an avid Chicago Cubs fan. He had a fantastic sense of humor, was quick witted and loved to have a good time. He greatly appreciated motorcycles, loved classic cars, suffered through watching the Chicago Bears lose and always had an awesome album playing throughout his home. You could always find Brian spending his free time in his pool or in his garage, working on another project, and in his down time he even enjoyed watching golf. Brian was always willing to help a friend in need and could build or fix almost anything. He was the go to handyman for many, and even if it wasn’t done correctly, he could get it working. When his children were growing up, Brian was heavily involved in their lives. He attended every sports game, was the loudest cheerleader from the stands and coached his children’s little league baseball and basketball teams. Something he took great pride in. Brian dedicated two decades of his career to Pryco Fuel Systems, where he created outstanding relationships with many through his line of work.

A visitation for Brian will be held on Friday the 13th of September, 2024 at Ellinger-Kunz and Park Funeral Home, 530 North 5th St. Springfield, IL 62702 from 4:00 pm till 6:00 pm. Funeral services will take place on Saturday the 14th at 10:00 am. Brian will be laid to rest at Calvary Cemetery in Springfield.
