Jacksonville, IL (CAPITOL CITY NOW) – In response to a widespread power outage in Jacksonville caused by a traffic accident, the Jacksonville/Morgan County EMA has opened an Emergency Cooling Center. The center, located at 200 W Douglas Ave., will provide air conditioning, seating, drinking water, and restrooms until 9 p.m. Sunday, with possible extended hours. On-site staff will assist with needs and provide safety information.
