The Sangamon County Sheriff’s Office is hosting their first annual “Cram the Cruiser” food drive at the New Berlin Thanksgiving Turkey Tournament.

Canned food and other non-perishable food items are being collected and will be given to local food banks in time for Christmas.

You can drop off donations at the New Berlin Jr/Sr High School located at 300 Ellis Street, New Berlin, IL 62670 or at the lobby in the Sangamon County Court House located at 200 South 9th Street, Springfield, IL 62701.

Chief Deputy John Hayes expressed that the Sheriff’s Office recognizes that there are a lot of people in need and are going to do the best they can to help.
