Springfield, IL  (CAPITOL CITY NOW) – Springfield police are asking for the public’s help in identifying the man who used a piece of concrete to smash a window and break into the Long John Silver’s at 2929 S. Dirksen Pkwy around 1 a.m. on April 6. The incident is the Crime Stoppers Crime of the Week.  The suspect, once inside, rummaged through the business before leaving through the broken window. Police report the man caused over $900 in damage. Photos of the suspect are available at cashfortips.us.

Anyone with information is asked to contact the Springfield Police Department or provide an anonymous tip through Crime Stoppers at cashfortips.us, 217-788-8427 or with the p3 app. If the tip results in an arrest, the tipster could receive a cash reward of up to $2,500.
