Springfield, IL (CAPITOL CITY NOW) – This week, Crime Stoppers is seeking to assist the Springfield Police Department to identify an individual reference a theft that occurred at Immaculate Conception Church, 524 E Lawrence, in Springfield.

On April 11,2026, around 10 am a white male wearing jeans and a dark colored jacket entered the church and was near the alter.  The suspect removed a crucifix and thurible from this area that was valued over $2,000.00.  These items hold a significant religious and community value as well.
