Springfield, IL (CAPITOL CITY NOW) – Springfield police are asking for the public’s help after a costly act of vandalism at White Oaks Mall last month.
In the early morning hours of Nov. 13 and 17, officers responded to reports of significant damage inside the mall at 2501 Wabash Ave. Suspects, believed to be teenagers, caused several thousand dollars in damage, breaking windows, destroying fixtures, damaging water pipes, and discharging fire extinguishers throughout the building.
Crime Stoppers is urging anyone with information about the incident to contact police or submit an anonymous tip. Tips can be submitted at cashfortips.us, with the P3 app, and by phone at 217-788-8427.
