Springfield, IL (CAPITOL CITY NOW) – A survey is underway to gauge public opinion about the next superintendent at District 186.
School board vice president Buffy Lael-Wolf said the search team hired from the Illinois Association of School Boards will compile survey results.
“We will be sending out invites to focus groups,” she said. “There will be a variety of focus groups of different snapshots of people around our community: our teachers, our staff members, our partners in the community and what they’re looking for in a superintendent.”
Focus groups are expected to convene during the second half of October. Superintendent Jennifer Gill is retiring at the end of the school year.
