Springfield, IL (CAPITOL CITY NOW) – The entire Springfield and Chatham region has come together in love and support of the victims and their families following the late-April car crash at the YNOT facility in Chatham that claimed the lives of five children.
Another way the community is coming together is through “Chatham Strong Fest” – taking place Sunday, July 6th. Jeff Stauffer and Jason Dolby are among the organizers, and talk with Will Stevenson on the WTAX Morning Newswatch.
The one-day music festival will feature live music, family friendly activities, food, and much more!
Net proceeds from Chatham Strong Fest and all donations will go toward supporting families affected by the April 28 tragedy. This includes assistance with funeral and memorial services, medical expenses and long-term care, and essential needs and supplies.
All funds will be fully disbursed within six months to ensure timely, compassionate support for those most impacted. If you wish to donate,
Attending Chatham Strong Fest is free, but Stauffer and Dolby would like to encourage those who attend to make donations. The goal is to fill the 4ft. high water tower they will have at the event. You can also take part in the online auction that can be found at their website.
