Springfield, IL (CAPITOL CITY NOW) – The College Sports Communicators (CSC) Academic All-District softball teams have been announced, with five Prairie Stars earning the honor for their combined success on the field and in the classroom.
Ella Brinkley, Rosie Bartletti, Addyson McClure, Isabella Wilson, and Taylor Zawacki were selected as the honorees from UIS. Brinkley, Bartletti, and Zawacki advance to the CSC Academic All-America ballot based on their exceptional athletic achievements in 2025.
Nominees must be of at least sophomore standing both academically and athletically, hold a cumulative GPA of 3.50 or higher, and meet strict playing time standards by either starting 90% of their team’s games, appearing in 66% of games, or pitching a minimum of 35 innings or in 17 appearances. Each NCAA softball program may nominate up to five student-athletes.
Four Prairie Stars earned Academic All-District recognition for the second year in a row: Brinkley, Bartletti, Wilson, and Zawacki.
Ella Brinkley | Third Baseman | Danville, Ind.
Brinkley earned her second straight Academic All-District honor after a standout season that included First Team All-GLVC and Second Team All-Region selections. The senior led UIS with a .407 batting average and graduated with a degree in Exercise Science. She will again appear on the Academic All-America ballot.
Taylor Zawacki | Pitcher/Utility | Mokena, Ill.
Zawacki, another recent graduate, was a key two-way contributor in 2025. She appeared in 51 games, made 11 starts as a pitcher, and delivered a shutout in the GLVC Tournament. She earned Second Team All-GLVC honors as an outfielder and will advance to the Academic All-America ballot.
Rosie Bartletti | Pitcher/Utility | Springfield, Ill.
Bartletti, a junior, was a standout for the Prairie Stars with 29 pitching starts and 21 wins. She earned First Team All-GLVC and Second Team All-Region honors and was named National Pitcher of the Week during the season. She is also advancing to the Academic All-America ballot.
Isabella Wilson | First Baseman | Troy, Mo.
Wilson earned Academic All-District honors for the second straight season for a strong end to her collegiate career. A dependable presence in all 53 games, she posted a .307 batting average and was a key contributor to the team’s offensive success.
Addyson McClure | Pitcher/Utility | Ashland, Ill.
McClure, a first-time Academic All-District honoree, pitched more than 70 innings in her senior campaign, recording six wins and finishing with a 3.24 ERA. She graduated this spring following a strong final season.
The 2025 CSC Academic All-District teams recognize the nation’s top student-athletes for their achievements in both athletics and academics. Student-athletes advancing to the national ballot are indicated with an asterisk and will be considered for CSC Academic All-America honors. The first-, second-, and third-team Academic All-America honorees will be announced on June 17, 2025.
