(CAPITOL CITY NOW) – Gov. JB Pritzker Monday decried the Immigration and Customs Enforcement’s stated policy to arrest people based on their appearance.

“ICE’s chief offender, Gregory Bovino has been leading the disruption and causing mayhem while he gleefully poses for photos and TikTok videos. Bovino even admitted on the record that they are making arrests based on how you look. Based on how you look. How you look.

“That’s the baseline.”

The weekend has seen more conflict between agents and protestors.

What’s more, said Pritzker, help is on the way — for ICE.

“The Illinois National Guard has received word that the (U.S.) Department of Homeland Security has sent a memo to the Department of War, seeking the deploy of 100 military troops to Illinois, claiming a need for the protection of ICE personnel and facilities,” said the governor.

“What I have been warning of is now being realized.”
