Jacksonville, IL (CAPITOL CITY NOW) – Two people had to be rescued from a home that officials say exploded Friday in Jacksonville.
According to a news release from the Jacksonville Fire Department, crews were called to the home in the 2100 block of East Morton Ave. around 4:50 p.m. Friday. The two people inside the home were “safely extricated.” They were taken by helicopter to a Springfield hospital. Their conditions are not available.
Authorities say they’re still working with other agencies and Ameren Illinois to determine the cause of the investigation.
