(CAPITOL CITY NOW) – The “over the river and through the woods” bit should be easier to navigate this weekend.

The Illinois Department of Transportation says lanes which have been closed because of construction will reopen where possible for the holiday.

“Non-emergency closures will be suspended from 3 p.m. Wednesday, Nov. 26, to 11:59 p.m. Sunday, Nov. 30,” says an IDOT news release.

The release provides the following information on the affected areas:
