(CAPITOL CITY NOW) – An Illinois iLottery player is $1 million richer after matching five numbers in the latest Powerball drawing. The fortunate player matched all five numbers in Saturday’s drawing, but not the Powerball.

Over 18,000 tickets were sold in Illinois for the Feb. 22 Powerball drawing resulted in more than $1.1 million in prizes for Illinois Lottery players. So far in 2025, the Illinois Lottery reports Illinois players have won over $3.9 million in Powerball prizes.

The current Powerball jackpot stands at an estimated $230 million, with the next drawing scheduled for Monday at 9:59 p.m.
