SHERMAN, IL (CAPITOL CITY NOW) – An Illinois State Police trooper was injured in a motorcycle crash on Interstate 55 Wednesday morning. The crash happened in the northbound lanes around 7:05 a.m. close to milepost 105 near Sherman.

A preliminary investigation indicates the trooper’s motorcycle, for unknown reasons, left the roadway striking the center median. The trooper was transported to an area hospital with injuries. No further information is being released by ISP at this time.
