Springfield, IL  (CAPITOL CITY NOW) – Beginning Wednesday, lane closures are scheduled at Ninth Street and North Grand Avenue for CWLP work on a water main extension project. Westbound traffic on North Grand Avenue will be closed at Ninth Street, and northbound traffic on North Ninth Street will be closed at North Grand Avenue. This work is expected to take multiple days and will be rescheduled in the event of rain. Lanes will reopen after road surface repairs are complete. Motorists should plan for alternative routes, slow down, and be aware of the construction and repair crews and equipment in and near roadways
