Leo Gene Fore, affectionately known as “Poofie” by his grandkids, died on October 9, 2024, from complications resulting from prostate cancer. He was 84 years old.

Gene was born in Jeiseyville, IL on August 2, 1940.

Cremation was provided by Butler Cremation Tribute Center.

The family is being served by Butler Funeral Home-Springfield, 900 S. 6th St., Springfield, IL.
