Leslie Dean Symons, 64, of Springfield, passed away on Wednesday, June 19, 2024 at his home.

Leslie was born in Springfield, IL., on March 22, 1960, the son of Leslie E. and Kathleen (Boehner) Symons. He served his country in the United States Army. After being discharged from the US Army, Leslie managed the band HeadEast traveling the US.  He also managed the band Daddy’s Girl.  He promoted concerts for Blue Oyster Cult, Billy Ray Cyrus and Tim McGraw concert for Children’s Miracle Network.  For the past 20 years he has owned a store on Ebay where he sold antique and unique jewelry.

He is preceded in death by his father, Leslie E. Symons; paternal grandparents, Eugene and Mildred Symons; maternal grandparents, John & Catherine Boehner; uncle John Boehner and aunt Jean Boehner, Marybeth Anderson

He is survived by his mother Kathleen (David) Kinner; step siblings, Joni (Phil) Limper and Jeffrey (Shelly) Kinner; and uncles, Raymond (aunt Carol) Boehner, Ronald Kinner Cousins Becky (Jim) Stealey, Jim (Cathy) Muir , Raymond Lynn (Sheila) Boehner, Robert (Heather) Boehner,  Evan (Emily) Anderson and Amy Anderson.

Pastor Michael Strong will officiate. Graveside Services will be held on July 1, 2024 at: 11:00 am condolences may be given between 10:00 am and 11:00 am at Wilson Park Funeral Home, 200 E. Main. St. Rochester, IL.

Memorial donations may be made to the Central Illinois Foodbank or the St. John’s Breadline.
