DuQuoin, IL (CAPITOL CITY NOW) – The Little River Band has joined the lineup performing at one of two state fairs in Illinois.
The Illinois Department of Agriculture announced Monday the Little River Band will take the grandstand stage at the DuQuoin State Fair on Sunday, August 24.
The fair described the band as having “unforgettable music and timeless classics.”
“This is a phenomenal addition to the 2025 Du Quoin State Fair lineup,” said Illinois Department of Agriculture Director Jerry Costello II, in a news release. “Little River Band’s music transcends generations and continues to captivate audiences. Fairgoers are in for a memorable experience.”
Starting out as an Australian rock band, Little River Band was recognized for having Top 10 hits in six consecutive years. “Lady” and “Reminiscing” are among the band’s hits. The band recently spent time on tour, according to the Department of Agriculture.
The grandstand performers this year include:
- David Lee Roth, August 23
- Little River Band, August 24
- Tesla, August 28
- Jake Owen, August 29
- Gabby Barrett, September 1
That’s in addition to two auto races.
Tickets for the Little River Band go on sale Friday, May 16. The DuQuoin State Fair runs August 22 through September 1.
