Chicago, IL (CAPITOL CITY NOW) – A man accused of killing four people after setting a home on fire in Chicago late last month has been arrested in Springfield.
Multiple media outlets in Chicago say Lontray Clark, 23, was arrested several days ago, and was ordered held in the Cook County jail until trial. It’s not clear where in Springfield Clark was arrested, but Chicago Police captured him along with the help of the Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, and Firearms.
Clark, authorities claim, set a three-story apartment building in the city’s Austin neighborhood on fire June 26th, after learning his ex-girlfriend was dating his friend.
Among the dead was a pregnant woman and a community newspaper editor. The victims were between the ages of five and 76.
The suspected intended targets of the fire survived.
Clark faces murder and arson-related charges and is expected back in court Monday.
