Springfield, IL (CAPITOL CITY NOW) – The kennels at Sangamon County Animal Control and Adoption Center are completely full and more animals are in need of care every day. Some of our dogs have been waiting months to be chosen by someone who will love them and give them a chance at a better life.
Bella has been at SCACAC since February 25th when she came in as a stray. She is about five years old and loves her time outside with the volunteers. Bella walks nicely on a leash and is pretty active when she’s outside because she’s been in a kennel all day for four months. This pretty girl needs a home of her own where she can decompress and become part of a family.
When the kennels at Sangamon County Animal Control and Adoption Center are full many wonderful dogs like Bella get overlooked by potential adopters. If you’re looking for a new best friend please come out to the shelter to meet the dogs. Hours are Monday-Friday 10:30-4:15 and Saturday 9:00-1:00. ALL DOGS ARE AVAILABLE FOR ADOPTION, FOSTERING OR FOSTER TO ADOPT. Staff members will be happy to explain your options.
