Springfield, IL (CAPITOL CITY NOW) – Hex is a lively, affectionate pup with a big heart and a love for play. She’s always ready for a game of “keep away” with her favorite soft squeaky toys. Once she’s had her fun, she loves to settle down for some cuddles—if you sit down, she’ll happily come over for pets before bouncing off to play again.
Hex is super smart and knows commands like “sit,” “place,” and “up.” She’s polite when entering and exiting doors and is calm and quiet in her kennel. Though she has a few quirks—like grabbing the leash on walks—she’s quick to settle down once she’s outside and can focus on her surroundings.
While Hex is confident and independent, she’s also sweet and enjoys spending time with people. She did great with teenage volunteers and is respectful of those around her. Hex is still learning some basic manners and would benefit from continued training, but she’s eager to please and quick to pick up new things.
Hex may be a little startled by sudden movements or noises, so she’s looking for a patient and understanding adopter who can help her build confidence. She’s an active, fun-loving dog who will thrive in a home with the right balance of exercise, structure, and affection.
