Springfield, IL (CAPITOL CITY NOW) – Meet Luna, our Friends of Sangamon County Animal Control Dog of the Week.
Luna is a beautiful one year old girl who was surrendered by her owner at the end of June. When she first arrived she was terrified by the shelter environment. She’s less terrified now but she is stressed by the noise and constant activity of kennel life. If you would like to meet Luna please spend time outside where you can see her true personality.
Luna loves to play ball. She’s a very graceful girl. When she retrieves the ball she likes to soar thru the air. She is always ready for a good long game of fetch to burn off some energy. Luna walks nicely on a leash and is friendly with people. It will be wonderful for this good girl to find a loving home where she can decompress and become a great companion.
Luna and all of the other dogs at Sangamon County Animal Control and Adoption Center are available for foster, foster to adopt and adoption. Staff will be happy to explain your options. Please come on out. Your new best friend is waiting for you! Shelter hours are Monday-Friday 10:30-4:15 and Saturday 9:00-1:00.
