MeechiSpringfield, IL  (CAPITOL CITY NOW) – Our Friends of Sangamon County Animal Control Dog of the Week is one of longest residents in the shelter. Meechi has been with us since August when he was brought in as a confiscation.

Meechi is a very handsome guy who is about two years old. He’s a strong boy who enjoys his walks with his volunteer friends. Meechi is attentive to his handler and sits nicely for treats. He is a good boy who deserves a second chance in a loving home.

Meechi and all of the adoptable dogs at Sangamon County Animal Control and Adoption Center are waiting to meet you Monday-Friday 10:30-4:15 and Saturday 9:00-1:00. SCACAC WILL BE CLOSED WEDNESDAY FEBRUARY 12TH FOR LINCOLN’S BIRTHDAY.
