Springfield, IL (CAPITOL CITY NOW) – Our Friends of Sangamon County Animal Control Dog of the Week has been looking for love since February when he was brought in as a stray.

Romeo is a charming little land hippo. This chunky boy is 2 years old. He’s sweet natured and playful and he loves to carry his favorite ball when he’s out walking with his human friends. Romeo also loves to sit on a bench and receive attention and pets with a big smile on his face.

Would you like to show Romeo some love? He’s available for foster, foster to adopt or adoption at Sangamon County Animal Control and Adoption Center. You can meet Romeo and all of the other adoptable pets Monday-Friday 10:30-4:15 and Saturday 9:00-1:00.
