Springfield, IL (CAPITOL CITY NOW) – Our Friends of Sangamon County Animal Control Dog of the Week is an adorable little girl with a name that fits her perfectly—SPARKLES!

Sparkles is around two years old and she’s been waiting for two months to meet her new family. She’s a medium sized girl with a beautiful brindle coat. Sparkles is a friendly girl who loves to meet people and she’s easy to walk on a leash. She’s got a sparkling personality and just check out the smile on her face.

If Sparkles sounds like your kind of girl come on out and meet her at Sangamon County Animal Control and Adoption Center. The shelter will be closed Monday for the Memorial Day holiday but Sparkles and all of the other adoptable pets will be ready to meet you Tuesday-Friday 10:30-4:15 and Saturday 9:00-1:00. Sparkles is available for adoption, fostering and foster to adopt. Staff will be happy to provide details to see what option works best for you.
