SPRINGFIELD, Ill. (CAPITOL CITY NOW) – Our Friends of Sangamon County Animal Control Dog of the Week would love to spend time with outside in the colorful leaves and cool fresh air. He’s been cooped up in a kennel for over a month.

Sully is a handsome and fun Lab mix boy. He’s about a year old so he’s got young Lab energy. He could use some leash training but he does sit nicely for treats. He’ll be a wonderful new best friend for long walks. Sully is available for foster and adoption.

The kennels at Sangamon County Animal Control and Adoption Center are full of good dogs looking for good homes. You can meet all of them during shelter hours Monday through-Friday 10:30-4:15 and Saturday 9:00-1:00. The shelter is located at 2100 Shale St., Springfield IL.
