Alpharetta, GA (CAPITOL CITY NOW) – A food and catering chain with locations throughout the country is undergoing a growth spurt, and is looking at Springfield to be a location.
A spokesperson with HoneyBaked Ham confirms that the chain wants to locate a store in Springfield, but needs a franchisee first.
“Looking ahead to 2026, HoneyBaked plans to build on its development momentum with four signed agreements that will bring new stores to California, Florida, Iowa, Maryland, North Carolina and Virginia,” said a news release. “The brand is also evaluating additional growth opportunities in priority markets including Illinois, California, Florida, Texas and Virginia, reflecting continued demand for HoneyBaked’s offerings and strong interest in the franchise opportunity.”
According to a spokesperson, HoneyBaked Ham wants “to establish a locally owned and operated franchise, creating new jobs and bringing a beloved tradition closer to home.” A number of new locations were opened in 2025.
HoneyBaked Ham is more than 65 years old, and traces its origins back to the patenting of a spiral ham slicer. In addition to preparing and selling ham at various holiday times, the locations now offer catering and lunch options. The company also sells turkey and other items, along with heat-and-serve side dishes and “curated retail products.”
To start toward becoming a franchisee, HoneyBaked Ham has established this website. There are currently more than 400 stores around the country.
