Chicago, IL (CHAMBANA TODAY) – The Powerball® jackpot has climbed to $1.7 billion for Wednesday night’s drawing, potentially making it the fourth-largest lottery prize in U.S. history.

While no one hit all six numbers in Monday night’s drawing, Illinois players claimed notable prizes. One Deerfield player won $1 million by matching five white ball numbers, purchasing the ticket at Mobile gas station, 650 Waukegan Rd. Another Illinois player won $100,000 by matching four numbers plus the Powerball with the Power Play® feature, and seven others each won $50,000 by matching four numbers plus the Powerball.

The winning numbers were 3–18–36–41–54, with Powerball 7. Players are urged to check tickets carefully.

The current Powerball jackpot run began September 7, 2025. Nearly 1.5 million winning tickets have been sold statewide, paying over $18.4 million in prizes and generating about $33 million for the Illinois Common School Fund, supporting K-12 public education.

Powerball tickets cost $2 per play, with an optional $1 Power Play for non-jackpot prize multipliers. The Illinois Lottery reminds players to “Be Smart, Gift Smart” this holiday season. Tickets are for adults only. More information on responsible play is available at illinoislottery.com.
