Springfield, IL  (CAPITOL CITY NOW) – The University of Illinois Springfield (UIS) volleyball team is gearing up for a competitive weekend as they travel to Hammond, Indiana, to compete in the Midwest Regional Crossover. The tournament features 38 NCAA Division II teams from the Great Midwest Athletic Conference, Great Lakes Intercollegiate Athletic Conference, and Great Lakes Valley Conference, offering UIS a valuable opportunity to showcase their skills against top regional teams.

UIS enters the weekend with an 11-5 overall record, 3-2 in GLVC play. The Prairie Stars will face Ohio Dominican and Purdue Northwest on Friday, with matches scheduled for 11:30 a.m. and 4:30 p.m. On Saturday, they will take on Cedarville at 11:30 a.m.
