Springfield, IL (CAPITOL CITY NOW) – The crowd at Arlington’s Thursday evening chanted, “Four more years!”

As Gov. JB Pritzker launched a campaign for a third term, that’s an interesting point, as most political watchers expect Pritzker – if re-elected – to spend much of a third term running for president.

“Every day I wake up and try to figure out what more can I do for the people of Illinois as governor” Pritzker said in response to a question about how many years he would serve if sworn in again in 2027. “The reason I am running for re election as governor is because it gives me an opportunity to actually get those things done.

“Every day I am going to wake up going forward, thinking about, what am I going to do that’s going to help the people of Illinois. It’s what I am going to do every day going forward, no matter what decision I make.”
