Springfield, IL (CAPITOL CITY NOW) – A Riverton man will be staying in jail after being charged with six felony counts of Child Sexual Abuse Material.

Sangamon County Court records indicate Thadeus Rogers, 30, was denied pretrial release by a judge on Monday, and will now remain jailed until at least July 16, when a preliminary hearing will be held. He was initially arrested on counts of Possession and Dissemination of Child Pornography.

Our news partners at WAND-TV report Rogers was arrested last Thursday when it was allegedly discovered he had child pornography that he is believed to have shared on April 2 and 3.

Each count is being charged as a Class 4 felony, which carries, at most, three years in prison if convicted.
