Springfield, IL  (CAPITOL CITY NOW) – Beginning Monday, northbound First Street will be closed at Jefferson Street. Lanes will also be reduced along Jefferson Street between First and Second Streets for repairs to a 6-inch water main. This work is expected to take multiple days and will be rescheduled in the event of rain. Lanes will reopen after road surface repairs are complete.
