Springfield, IL (CAPITOL CITY NOW) – A citizen’s complaint about overnight RV parking in her neighborhood brought a strong reaction from frequent public commenter Ken Pacha at the June 10 Springfield city council meeting.
The woman’s complaint is off base, said Pacha.
“I thought this was America,” Pacha told aldermen. “Are you kidding me? The crime of sleeping in an RV? He has to ID himself to the cops? Dude, are you kidding me? That’s wild! You know how many people randomly park on my street? Do not fall asleep in the parking lot on a cross-country trip! It’s none of your business what I’m doing in this country. If I’m not committing a crime, asking me for ID is invasive. You’re forcing some poor guy who just happened to be from Montana interacting with four cop cars?”
