Springfield, IL  (CAPITOL CITY NOW) – Sangamon County Animal Control is asking for the public’s help in identifying the person(s) responsible for the death of a dog found deceased in a cage near 6th Street Frontage Road and 11th Street. The dog is described as a dilute tri-color Cane Corso mix about 7-10 years of age with a collar, but no microchip.  Anyone with information is asked to contact Sangamon County Animal Control at 217-535-3065.
