Sarah E. (Warnke) Hardy, 77, of Springfield, IL (formerly of Rochester) passed away on Thursday November 7, 2024.

Sarah was born in Palestine, IL on June 14, 1947 the daughter of Arthur and Sarah (McNutt) Warnke.

She was preceded in death by her parents and brother, John Warnke.

Sarah is survived by her daughter, Elizabeth Mitchell (husband, Michael) of Pleasant Plains; daughter, Amanda Kim of Springfield; grandchildren, Ryanne Obertino (husband, Kyle) of Austin, TX, McKenna Day of Peoria, Doug Mitchell (wife, Taylor) of Lexington, KY, Ben Mitchell (wife, Simona) of Grand Junction, CO, Carter Kim of Springfield, and Spencer Kim of Springfield; brother, Art Warnke (wife, Karen) of Chatham; in-laws, Larry Hardy of New Berlin and Susan (husband Ed) DeWitt of Georgia; as well as several nieces and nephews.

Sarah was an avid Illini and St. Louis Cardinals fan. She enjoyed being social with her friends and especially being a grandmother. She was retired from Springfield District 186, where she worked as Administrative Assistant to the Director of Special Education

Visitation will be held on Thursday November 21, 2024 at Wilson Park Funeral Home, 200 East Main Street, Rochester, IL 62563 from 11:00 am till the time of the Funeral service at 12:00 pm. She will be laid to rest at Rochester Cemetery. Pastor Mary Zupansic will officiate.
