Springfield, IL (CAPITOL CITY NOW) – The Sangamon County Sheriff’s Department wants the public’s help solving a burglary where smoking and vaping products were taken from a local liquor store.

The Sheriff’s Department, on social media, claims a break-in happened around 5 a.m. Sunday to The Crossing Liquor Store, 2828 E. Clear Lake Ave.

The suspect, identified through surveillance video, forced the door to the store open, stole an unknown amount of cigarettes and vaping products, then got away.

It’s not known how much damage was done to the store, nor if anyone was injured.
