Springfield, IL  (CAPITOL CITY NOW) – Authorities are examining skeletal remains found in Grandview to determine an identity. According to Sangamon County Coroner Jim Allmon, the remains were discovered last Friday in a wooded area in the 1700 block of North Milton Avenue.

A forensic pathologist conducted an examination the following day. and an anthropologist studied the remains on Tuesday.

Allmon said the identification process will be done scientifically, and the next of kin will be notified when testing results are available.
